Reading

During the final term in P7 you will be reading a book selected by yourself, where you will be provided with the opportunity to report back to others in the class on your personal experiences.

P7C /P7H

On going reading throughout the week, following your own literacy plan created for your own personal book study.

Remember, you will need to be ready to report back to a selection of the class on what you have discovered/analysed about your book.

P7H - You will report back to the class on  Thurs 9 May

Please ensure that your homework is neatly presented. Thank you.

Spelling
Learn Spelling Words for Wednesday 8th May. Words this week are based on words ending ious and ous. These words may be found at:

https://www.spellingcity.com/view-spelling-list.html?listId=8962186

Pupils working solely on the core list are expected to:
  • research another 3 personal words (errors) from previous weeks / or 3 words of your choice.
Remember if you spelt any words incorrectly, you will need to learn these so you can transfer them to your 'friendly' word list in your 'Helpful Spelling Jotter'

P7 Useful Word list
For those pupils working on Useful Words/Personal Spelling Words, they should learn words on the following list, which you have selected for your group - words starting with S.

https://www.spellingcity.com/view-spelling-list.html?listId=7665615

In addition you should add 2 personal words that you want to learn (these could be based on errors from previous weeks).

Language
Ask your parents if they have a funny story they can tell you about something that you did when you were younger.
If they can't think of a funny or strange thing that happened to you then have they got a story about someone else in the family? The story could be about something that happened to them when they were younger.
Ask them questions about the story so that you know as much about it as possible.
Write the story down, in as much detail as you can, and bring your work into school.
This should be a short story, approximately half an A4 page. No more than one A4 page.

Numeracy and Mathematics

For this week:

P7 H - Have tasks set up on the Maths website -http://www.studyladder.co.uk/
All groups have tasks working with data linked to class work.

Remember to target a score of 8/10 or better - until this is achieved the task will remain on your list.

This week all groups have 3 tasks.

P7 C -  Complete the worksheet on pie charts. We have only started to interpret pie charts so if you need help please ask before homework is due in.

Remember you can also review your LEARN-ITS Follow the link to access copies of the Learn-Its tests.
