P7 Useful Word listThe team who work on these list should select 8 words from the above list to learn.

  Olympic Assembly

Note - This is a 2 week task, to be completed by  Thursday 24th.

During the week commencing 28th May, we will be celebrating Olympic Week. On Friday 1st June each class is to represent a particular country.

P7 are representing Team GB.

Your task is to investigate some interesting information about team GB during the life of Modern Olympics, which started in 1896.

You will be allocated 1 of the 27 years when a Summer Olympic occurred to research:
  • Where did it occur ?
  • What was the size of the GB Team ?
  • Significant achievements / unusual events
  • Stars of the GB Team.
  • + anything else you think is of interest
It would be fantastic to create a time line of your findings - so you will need to capture your information on a poster.

In addition, you should select 1 member of the current GB team to investigate. You will be expected to get into 'character' for your member, identifying what your HOPES & DREAMS are for this unique event.

REMEMBER you could be a Paralympic representative.

You will need to inform Miss Lewin / Mr Hyde of your character as we would like to have 58 individual representatives.
