P7 - Week Beginning 5 Oct 2009

VE DAY -

Please remember to bring in any 'old' games which would have been played during the Second World War. For example; snakes and ladders, tiddly winks, marbles, ludo and card games - old maid, donkey etc.

Ongoing reading throughout the week, following the plan agreed by each Literature Circle Group. Remember your target is to complete the book by Friday (as next week you will be at Lagganlia).

Topic Work - World War 2

This is a very special week, when we are pleased to say that World War 2 will come to an end. You will need to:

  • have completed your personal projects so you can report to the class and
  • be ready to celebrate VE day, remember to come to school on Friday dressed for fun.

(Note - this game is slightly confusing as 0 degrees is in a West direction, North is at 90 degrees etc, but it is good for thinking about 360 degrees in a complete turn).

Remember Never Eat Shredded Wheat
A bearing for North is 0 or 360 degrees.
East is 90 degrees.
South is 180 degrees.
